YOUNG TANGERINES RETURN TO TANNADICE

26th June 2002

The Club's youth team and Under-21s reported back to Tannadice today for their first training session following the summer break. Manager Alex Smith and his coaching staff gave the young Tangerines a rigorous start, training both in the morning and afternoon in preparation for the first team squad returning tomorrow.

After the first day, Alex Smith stated: "I am delighted to see the young lads back at work and in rather good form, too. O'Donnell, Ogunmade, Wilson and Gartland (pictured), as well as the others, shaped up well and are excited at being involved again. Tomorrow, we are looking forward to the first team playing squad arriving back together with our latest signing Allan Smart who will meet his new team mates for the first time. Together we will start preparing for the Austrian trip and it is interesting to note that the three clubs we are playing on our tour represent the two finalists of the 2002 World Cup in Korea/Japan as well as one semi-finalist.
