As we continue celebrating 100 years of Dundee United, the club are proud to unveil our Heritage Kit.
In collaboration with our technical partner Errea, our new away threads for the upcoming campaign pay homage to the club’s Dundee Hibernian roots.
A symbol of unity and camaraderie during the early 1900s, Dundee Hibernian drew on football in order to unite people from all walks of life and laid the strong foundation ahead of our name change to Dundee United in 1923.
The transformation came as a bold statement of inclusivity and aspiration as we looked to grow our reach, following and support without predisposition.
Fast forward a century and our storied history has flourished under our United stride: Scottish Premier Division Champions, Scottish Cup Winners, Scottish League Cup Winners, UEFA Cup Runners-up, and European Cup Semi-Finalists amongst countless memorable occasions both at home and afar!
Our rich history and success remain embedded in the heart of our community and continue to fuel the club’s spirit. This shirt embodies Dundee United’s community roots, unity and togetherness as we continue moving forward.
THE DETAILS
Worn from 1913-15, the white chevron that adorns our heritage green shirt offers a vivid representation of our secondary colours – also displayed through a slick black and white trim. The chevron has been featured on a number of shirts throughout our history, most recently in 2014-15.
As with our home kit, the DUFC acronym underlines another bold lion rampant emblem on the upper back of the shirt.
The inner neckline sports added detail lettering and Errea’s ‘Authentic’ stamp adds the finishing touch to a modern classic
We’re also proud to display our kit sponsors for the upcoming campaign: Bartercard, JF Kegs, QuinnCasino, Spaces Taylored and Paint Tec.
