We are saddened to learn of the passing of former player David Sturrock at the age of 84.
A first-team regular between 1955 and 1959, the forward made over 100 appearances for United, scoring 26 goals in the process.
Sturrock would go on to turn out for Accrington Stanely and Bedford Town, before moving back to his hometown of Dundee after the end of his playing career.
Everyone at Dundee United would like to extend their condolences to David's family and friends.
