We are now inviting Dundee United season ticket holders to put themselves forward for election to the Dundee United Supporters Group for the next twelve-month period beginning in January 2022.
If you would like to be considered for the role, you should send an email to slo@dundeeunitedfc.co.uk stating your name and season ticket seat and why you feel you would be a suitable candidate to enhance the communication flow between the fans and the Club. Please note, the candidates selected to go through to the election process cannot be a commitee member of the six fans groups already represented.
The deadline for putting forward candidates is 13 December 2021 and once we have the four selected candidates we will put the election live for a period of seven days for all supporters to choose their preferred candidate. At the culmination of the election, the two preferred candidates will be elected as fan’s representatives within the greater DUSG.
ELECTION IS PART OF DUSG AND SLO COMMUNICATION ENHANCEMENTS
Following an annual review, the Dundee United Supporters Group will now consist of two representatives from each of the following groups (DUSF, Federation DUSC and ArabTRUST) and one representative of the other three recognised fans groups (Fans United, United Ladies of Tannadice and DUBC) and the two season ticket holders who will be elected by the fans to represent their views.
The other significant change has been at Supporters Liaison level where Colin Stewart becomes the Club’s sole SLO moving forward as David Dorward steps down from the role. Colin will take responsibility for all supporter services under guidance and assistance from the Executive Team at the Club.
The Club are indebted to David’s efforts in progressing the DUSG to this point and his work in liaising with supporters and thank him for all his efforts during his time as SLO. David, of course, continues to represent Dundee United as a non-executive board member.
