JAKE DAVIDSON JOINS ARBROATH ON LOAN

8th January 2021

Dundee United can confirm that Our Academy graduate Jake Davidson has joined Championship side Arbroath on loan for the remainder of the season.

Jake will be available for Dick Campbell's side in their Scottish Cup Second Round clash with Falkirk tomorrow as he looks to add another successful loan spell in senior football to his career and continue his exciting development.

The young midfielder/defender has already spent time at Spartans, Queen's Park and, most recently, Waterford where he spent this first half of this season making 13 appearances.

At the conclusion of his spell in Ireland, Jake returned to Tannadice to continue his training with the first team and be involved in matchday squads as he was named on the bench for last week's trip to Aberdeen.

Head of Player Pathway and Loans Brian Grant said: "This is another great level for Jake to test himself at, and the challenge of being involved in a relegation battle can only improve his development further.

"He's already shown during his previous loans at Spartans, Waterford and especially Queen's Park, where the fans really took to him, the capabilities he can bring to a side. He can now go and continue the progress he has made over the last 18 months and return to Tannadice even stronger in the summer."
