WOMEN'S TEAM MATCH PREVIEW

11th December 2020

It’s the final game of 2020 for the women’s team on Sunday as they travel to the capital to take on Boroughmuir Thistle in the Scottish Building Society Scottish Women’s Premier League Two.

Gavin Beith’s side are the in form team in the league with four wins and one draw in the last five games ahead of Sunday’s clash at Meggetland.

The two sides last met just a fortnight ago at the Regional Performance Centre as United ran out 4-1 winners with goals from Robyn Smith, Holly Napier, Megan Burns and Jade McLaren.

Boroughmuir bounced back from that defeat with an impressive 1-0 win over Partick Thistle last weekend and will hope to get revenge for the previous meeting.

Last Sunday’s win over Kilmarnock saw the welcome return of Danni McGinley as she netted twice in just 28 minutes, adding to Robyn Smith’s seventh of the season and an own goal.

Captain Keira Johnstone, Erin Ross and Tammy Harkin may find Sunday’s game too early for them to make their return from injury, with long term absentee Ellie-Jai Reid still on the injured list.

Kick off on Sunday is at 2pm at Meggetland and updates for this will be on Twitter @dundeeunitedwfc while highlights will be available on YouTube at a later time.
