The Young Terrors loanees action started on Friday with The Spartans visiting Cumbernauld Colts at Broadwood in their Lowland League clash. In an emphatic 6-2 victory for Spartans, 18-year-old Archie Meekison continued his fine goalscoring form with a great right-footed strike for his team's second goal in their comfortable win.

Keiran Freeman and his Peterhead teammates had a tough challenge away to table-topping Falkirk in their League 1 fixture on Saturday. The home side led 2-0, but Peterhead pulled one back midway through the second half to make it a nervy finish for the Bairns with Kieran competing another 90 minutes.

Elsewhere in League One, Montrose came from behind to win 2-1 away to Cove Rangers in Cove's first home defeat since they were promoted from the Highland League. 17-year-old Chris Mochrie came into the action for Montrose and played the last 25 mins in this important win in their quest to be involved in the promotion race. Young Ross Graham was an unused sub for Cove.

Cammy Smith had an eventful day at the Inodrill Stadium on Saturday with his Ayr United winning comfortably v Alloa in their Championship clash. After helping his team to a commanding 2-0 lead he was dismissed in the 85th minute for his second yellow card but, fortunately, the Honest Men saw the game out to claim a very impressive three points.

Lewis Fraser and East Craigie continued their fine form in the Scottish Junior East Region with a comfortable 4-0 home win over Forfar West End, to go top of the table after their great start to the season.
