JOIN THE JUNIOR TANGERINES NOW

There are lots of fun events planned for the season, and the first one happens this Sunday (29/07/18) at The Meet The Players’ Day when 100 Junior Tangerines will take on the first-team squad in a match at Tannadice!

The 100 successful JTs were chosen randomly from the membership database, and the event promises to be a fantastic start to a fun-filled day on Sunday. Each was contacted by email, and we would ask all members and their parents to ensure we have an up-to-date contact email address.

Updating your contact details is easy: email juniortangerines@dundeeunitedfc.co.uk with your Junior Tangerine’s name, age and date of birth.

Q and A

Q: My child has an Under 12 season ticket for the 2018/19 season. Do I have to join the Junior Tangerines separately?

A: No, all 2018/19 Under 12 season ticket holders are automatically enrolled.

Q: My child is an under 12 season ticket holder, but I didn't provide an email address when I purchased it. What should I do?

A: You should email juniortangerines@dundeeunitedfc.co.uk with your child's name, date of birth and contact email address to ensure they receive all offers and invitations to events.

Q: I signed up my child to be a Junior Tangerine and haven't heard any more? How do I receive information?

A: If you signed up and gave an upto-date email address, then you will receive a welcome email on Tuesday 31 July. If you do not receive this email, please check your Spam Folder and, failing that, contact juniortangerines@dundeeunitedfc.co.uk to ensure all contact details are up to date.

Q: I was a Young Arab for years and didn't have to provide an email address. Why now?

A: To ensure greater interaction and engagement, all communications will be by email. This will see members receive more information and more exciting offers than previously.

Q: I do not have an email address?

A: Contact the ticket centre and ask to speak to Moira who can help you set up an email account.

Q: Why should I join the Junior Tangerines?

A:  We want all Junior Tangerines to be proud to follow Dundee United, and we want to give you greater access to the first team squad. We want to bring you fun ways to interact with the Club and extend the benefits of being a season ticket holder into the JTs. It is also tremendous value; either as part of the under 12  season ticket package or for only £15, you receive a goody bag with your very own Junior Tangerines scarf, membership card, stickers and poster as well as invites to all the events throughout the season.

Q: What are the taster sessions at the Junior Academy and when do they take place?

A: As part of your membership you are entitled to attend three Saturday morning taster sessions at the Community Trust’s new Junior Academy soccer school. These taster sessions take part on 4, 11 and 18th August, and you must contact Paul.Wilson@dundeeunitedct.co.uk to book your place. When you send Paul an email it is important that you provide your child’s name, date of birth, contact number and JT membership number.

Q: I cannot make these dates, do I miss out?

A:  While these are the designated taster session dates, in some instances you can rearrange your dates. Please note, this depends on availability and agreement with the Community Trust (DUCT).

Q:  How do I get my goody bag?

A: All members who are signed up by Sunday 29 July can collect their goody bag at The Meet The Players’ event.  The 100 JTs selected for the match against the first team will receive their goody bags at the end of the game, and all other members can collect from the Junior Tangerine station that is situated on the Eddie Thompson Stand entry ramp from 11.30am onwards.

Q: I cannot attend the Meet The Players’ Day. How do I get my goody bag?

A: Any unissued goody bags can be collected at the ticket centre in Tannadice Street during regular opening hours including pre-match.

Q: Does every single member get a goody bag?

A: The first 1000 members will receive a goody bag.

Q:  My child is 13 years of age and was a Young Arab. Can he be a Junior Tangerine?

A: Absolutely! Junior Tangerines membership is open any United fan worldwide up to the age of 16 (same as Young Arabs) although the free taster sessions are limited to Under 12s only.

Q: If I buy my membership in December or even buy a half-season ticket, how long does my membership last?

A: Junior Tangerine membership runs from 1 August until 31 July each year. Each year members will be issued a renewal email in early July.

Q: What events are planned?

A:  There's a range of events planned including training sessions with the players, Bring Your Own Device Days and an Easter football tournament. There will, of course, be the usual Christmas Party and a range of offers exclusive to JT members throughout the season. Full details can be found on the JT page on the club website and we will keep you updated via email.

Q: Who is the point of contact?

A: All contact should be made to our Junior Tangerines email address: juniortangerines@dundeeunitedfc.co.uk

Q: You have not covered my query in this article. What should I do?

A: Please email us on juniortangerines@dundeeunitedfc.co.uk and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Hopefully, the above Q and A answer most queries and we would like to thank you for becoming a Junior Tangerine and look forward to hosting some fun-filled and enjoyable events for you this coming year.
