Foodbank Collection Success

27th December 2017

At last Saturday’s Christmas Foodbank Appeal, supporters of both clubs donated a staggering 625 kilos of food and £1,810 in cash. To be added to the total are the donations via the designated JustGiving Page which currently stand at £484.33 - this page will remain open for a few more days.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated so generously and to the volunteers from the Foodbank Dundee, Taught By Muhammad, ArabTRUST and ULT as well as to Club 83.  A massive thank you also to the Dundee United Community Trust and the West Lothian Youth Foundation for backing the appeal.

Everything that was donated is being split between The Dundee Foodbank and Taught by Muhammad to help desperate people in our community.

A spokesperson for Dundee United Community Trust said, "What a fantastic effort from the fans of both clubs. The food and the money collected is helping to make this time of the year more bearable for those most in need.

"Thank you to everyone who donated food and money and also to all the volunteers who gave their time. It was also great to see both DUCT and WLYF working together in unison to make this a success. Everyone should be very proud of their efforts."
