U11/12 players from Dundee United Youth Academy, together with their Dundee counterparts,  have been invited to attend the first ever Dundee Derby Performance Camp. In partnership with Leisure and Culture Dundee, Dundee Academy of Sport and Scottish FA Niall Nicolson Football Development Officer commented "this exciting camp will provide our young players with a behind the scene experience of what it is like to be a professional footballer. The partnership and strong relationship we have in the city has allowed us to develop this unique programme." Players will have meals provided to them at the club and attend a number of educational workshops based around sport science and health and well being. They will also attend first team training, experience media training, recovery swim sessions, daily coaching sessions and end the week with a mini Dundee Derby tournament. All players will also be provided with a personalised training kit. The Dundee Academy of Sport have provided funding for this event and their support has made a significant difference to what the young players are offered.
