DUNDEE UNITED 3 ST MIRREN 0

1st November 2014

Dundee United moved to the top of the Scottish Premiership beating St Mirren by three goals to nil at Tannadice. By Grant McKenzie   The first goal came at the stroke of half time with United shooting down the slope towards the Eddie Thompson stand. Great work from Aidan Connolly on the right let United into the box and Paul Paton was on hand to strike home right footed. St Mirren would surrender the points in the second half as they looked to push for an equaliser. Aidan Connolly again was instrumental, winning the ball with his head in the six yard box and allowing the unmarked Nadir Ciftci to slot home at the back post. It was Aidan Connolly who would yet again play a role in the third and final goal. With the St Mirren defence stretched, Connolly laid the ball right to Charlie Telfer and the attacking midfielder slotted home to mark his first start for United with a goal.
