DODDS DOUBLE DENIES DUNDEE

11th April 2004

United maintained their recent unbeaten run at Tannadice this afternoon against Dundee but did not get the result needed to ensure a top six position in this season's SPL.

Two goals behind at the interval, United powered back for a share of the spoils thanks to two Billy Dodds goals, one from the penalty spot. The result leaves United supporters still unsure whether their team will take one of the remaining top six positions in the SPL with three teams, United, Motherwell and Hibernian, battling it out for the two remaining berths. With Ian McCall's side travelling to East End Park next Sunday, this particular three team league may go right to the wire.

The draw means that United are now into double figures with regards to consecutive undefeated matches at Tannadice with seven wins and three draws in their last ten home matches.
