The Board of Directors of Dundee United would like to congratulate the Manager, Ian McCall, his backroom team, the players and the fans for the part they have all played in securing the club's top six finish.
While the opportunity to secure this position was still within the team's own hands, the 1-1 draw between Dunfermline and Hibs tonight means that a top six position is guaranteed. Despite Hibs going ahead in the 5th minute, the Pars fought back against 10 men to level the score late on. From then on it was one way traffic but all of us Arabs tuned to the radio were nevertheless relieved to hear the final whistle.
Before the start of the season Manager Ian McCall said it was going to be a "hell of a ride" and we've certainly had our share of excitement. Despite a very difficult start, the team has slowly but surely restored the Club to a challenging force and it has been just as encouraging to see everyone get behind the team as they have done so.
