UNITED LOSE DENS DERBY

25th January 2004

The second Derby of the sesaon took place at Dens Park today and Ian McCall made two changes to last week's starting eleven. Charlie Miller was on from the beginning in place of Collin Samuel and Jim Paterson was restored to the side in place of Stuart Duff.

There were few chances for United in the first half and it was somewhat against the run of play that the Tangerines took the lead two minutes from the break. Sancho brought Miller down in the box and for the second week in a row, Dodds netted from the spot.

Dundee scored an early second half equaliser from close range and then Lovell scored the winner with just over an hour gone. The Tangerines had only a couple of chances to draw level but it finished with a win for the Dark Blues.
