MAGNUS SKOLDMARK SET TO LEAVE

15th June 2000

With the playing staff still on holiday for another couple of weeks or so, things remain relatively quiet in the dressing room area Tannadice. Thursday, however, brought news that one of the recent departures from the Tangerines looks set to fix himself up with a new team in the next day or so.

He is Swede Magnus Skoldmark, who has had a successful trial back home with Malmo. The one-time European Cup finalists-they lost to Nottingham Forest in 1979-have hit hard times recently and dropped out of Sweden's top flight. However, they remain ambitious to return there and see Magnus's experience as being vital to their promotion drive.

The man Tommy McLean brought over from China in 1997 has also received offers from a Scottish First Division club and one in Norway, but says a return to his homeland appeals most.
