TANGERINE TARTAN TRIO II

13th January 2003

United's three under-21 internationals selected for Rainer Bonhof's training camp at the Algarve featured once again in a friendly last night, this time against German side Wolfsburg Amateurs. All the three Tangerine starlets started the match and, whilst Bonhof made eight substitutions at half time, Stephen O'Donnell lasted the full ninety minutes.

The German outfit took the lead in 25 minutes against the run of play when Juncker left Scots defenders Dowie and Dillon in his wake. After the interval, however, Beattie (Celtic) underlined again his striking prowess and equalled the scores for the Tartan team.

Scotland: Samson (Marshall), McCunnie (Kinniburgh), Morrison (McMullan), Dowie, Dillon (Morrison), Fotheringham (Fagan) Wilson (Brighton), O'Donnell, Prnty, Boyd (Lappin), Murray (Beattie).
