UNITED LOOK TO LAST SATURDAY'S FORM

7th December 2002

Dundee United entertain Hibernian this afternoon in the Bank of Scotland premierleague. The defeat in midweek against Dunfermline at East End Park will be put firmly in the past as Manager Paul Hegarty looks for his side to take inspiration from the way today's visitors have climbed the league table following their previous poor start to this season. Having made a losing start to their 2002-2003 league campaign, Manager Bobby Williamson galvanised the Easter Road side and they are now competing for a European place next season. Paul was happier with the way his team played in the second half last Saturday against Aberdeen when the Tangerines pounded the Dons defence and were unfortunate not to take all three points.

Jim Lauchlan remains doubtful while Jamie McCunnie (pictured) has recovered from a virus and is avaialble. Grant Brebner is suspended for Hibs while former Tannadice star Mixu Paatelainen returns to the first team squad.

The kick-off is at 3.00pm and admission is by a pay-at-the-gate basis.
