UNITED TRAVEL TO CITY STADIUM

26th December 2002

Although all matches are crucial, United go into the first of three Bank of Scotland premierleague matches in eight days when they take on Livingston at the City Stadium, kick off 3pm, and with nine points at stake, this Festive trio of league games could prove significant come the end of the 2002-2003 campaign.

Manager Paul Hegarty has injury concerns over Steven Thompson (pictured), Allan Smart, Jim Lauchlan and Arnar Gunnlaugsson although he may be able to welcome back Mark Wilson and David McCracken following illness.

United have already won at Livi this season in the CIS Cup but have yet to register three West Lothian points in the league having drawn one and lost one of last terms first ever matches in the top league for Jim Leishman's side.

A win for United today would see them climb above their hosts and into tenth position however a defeat would cast the Tangerines five points adrift of the Lions.

The match is pay at the gate.
