United's Under 21's moved back up to fourth in the league table with an excellent 3-1 win over third placed Rangers yesterday evening.
Anderson put United ahead and although the home side equalised, goals from Gunnlaugsson and Smart gave the young Tangerines a comprehensive win and the three points.
United now lie on equal points with third placed Rangers but have two matches in hand over their Under 21 Ibrox rivals. The Winter Break begins now and the fixtures will resume on Wednesday 22nd Jan at home to Livingston.
