Paul Hegarty will be looking for the same level of commitment in the match against Livingston this coming Saturday that his players demonstrated in the second half of last night's Forfarshire Cup match against Montrose FC. Two goals behind at the interval against Montrose, goals from Smart, McCunnie and Gunnlaugsson resulted in a United win.
Paul commented: "I was very pleased with the second half performance following a disappointing first forty five minutes where we conceded both goals from set pieces. We got the reaction we were looking for at half time and the players got their just reward. After the interval they provided a controlled second half performance and the excellent finishing saw us claw our way back into the tie and achieve a result. The match provides us with some pointers towards team selection at the weekend."
